Reflections on Recovery: Stories Shared to Inspire Hope and Promote Recovery from Mental Health Problems

This DVD premiered in Hamilton during the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival. The Lanarkshire Recovery Network, worked jointly with the Scottish Recovery Network to produce this DVD, which was filmed in Lanarkshire capturing 4 individual recovery stories to provide a real life example that recovery can and does happen. Scottish Recovery Network: Stories

Thoughts and stories of recovery that inspire hope and challenge preconceptions.

Personal stories of recovery can inform and inspire people with experience of mental health problems, carers and service providers alike. Learning about other people’s experiences can also help to challenge misconceptions. Stories offer hints and techniques on recovery and recognise the fact that people in recovery are experts by experience, stating very clearly that people can and do recover.
