Friends of Centenary & West End Parks

Friends of Centenary & West End Parks Airdrie is a voluntary group which works with NLC to improve the parks in our area.

We have several walking trails which are about a mile in length ,including historic trail with 13 interpretation boards throughout the park and an evening winter trail with several lighting features as well as three play areas and a sensory garden that you can view on our web page

Plains Community Futures

Plains Community Futures is a voluntary group that strives to make Plains Village a more pleasant place to live and visit. It aims to bring people together to maintain and enhance the village. PCF has many various projects including wooden flower tubs throughout the Main street; a newly created woodland park with bespoke climbing boulder; and a new community garden on Main Street Plains. The group also carries out regular litter picks and welcomes new volunteers, young and old.

Friends of Brownsburn Community Park

The Friends of Brownsburn Community Park began in 1991 with a view of saving an area of semi-derelict land as a community space giving a sense of countryside for exercise and relaxation.  They hold volunteer days with the Countryside Ranger Service throughout the year where activities such as tree and bulb planting are carried out.

Get Walking Lanarkshire

Walking is a great form of exercise as it has so many health benefits.
