What can YOU do?
In partnership with See Me, Stigma free Lanarkshire is bringing people together to help influence change; people who are passionate about challenging mental health stigma and discrimination and determined to stop it. Giving your voice of support can change minds, behaviours and, ultimately, lives.
Human rights are the basic rights and freedoms that belong to every person in the world from birth to death. They apply regardless of where you are from, what you believe or how you choose to live your life. We all have the same rights but people experiencing mental health problems can face significant barriers in realising them. At Stigma Free Lanarkshire we want the same opportunities for all to lead a fulfilled life.
Getting involved
It is not difficult to become involved and you can do as much or as little as you like. It’s about starting a conversation. Every action against mental health stigma will make a difference. As an individual you can sign the Stigma Free Lanarkshire pledge on this page or, as an organisation, you can collectively sign the Stigma Free Lanarkshire pledge.
By joining the movement, you will receive our monthly Elament e-bulletin which will give you news of what is happening in your area and Lanarkshire wide, including our progress on Stigma Free Lanarkshire, and opportunities for you to contribute to. By signing up and being kept up to date, you are joining hundreds of people all over Lanarkshire passionate about making a difference in people’s lives where rights for all matters.
If your organisation would like to learn more about signing the Stigma Free Lanarkshire pledge, please contact:
