Dementia (Frontotemporal)

This is a rarer form of dementia, although it is more common in the under 65 age group.

Most dementias affect memory first, but this form of dementia can affect personality and language skills first, affecting memory later on.

Alzheimer's Scotland and the Alzheimer's society provide information about a wide range of memory problems, not just Alzheimer's disease. Further information and leaflets can be found on the Alzheimer's Society website.
